The VWAP indicator (Volume Weighted Average Price) is a trading tool that calculates the average price of an asset, factoring in trading volume, throughout a single trading session. Plotted directly on the price chart, it serves as a reference point for intraday traders to assess whether the current price is above or below the volume-weighted average. PATTERN 1

Identifies two consecutive bullish or bearish sequences separated by a correction, with high-volume clusters crossing VWAP. Signals potential support (Pattern 1) or resistance (Pattern 1 Mirror) zones for trend continuation.

PATTERN 2

Detects a single candle with a long lower (Pattern 2) or upper (Pattern 2 Mirror) shadow containing a high-volume cluster crossing VWAP, followed by candles avoiding VWAP. Marks support or resistance zones for potential reversals.

PATTERN 3

Spots three bullish or bearish candles followed by an opposite move, with a high-delta cluster on the first counter-trend candle crossing VWAP bands (Upper/Lower). Highlights resistance (Pattern 3) or support (Pattern 3 Mirror) zones.

Which timeframe do you think is best suited for using the VWAP?

In my experience, VWAP works well on range-based charts such as Renko, Range X, or Range XV. I often use a 4-hour VWAP period for intraday analysis. However, the optimal settings may vary depending on your trading style and instrument. I always recommend experimenting with different configurations to find what best fits your approach.

Is this patterns right for me?
